BRIEF: Intel acquires Omek Interactive

Source: Globes, Tel Aviv, IsraelJuly 16--Intel Corporation (Nasdaq: INTC) has acquired gesture recognition and tracking technology software developer Omek Interactive Ltd.迷你倉沙田 for $30-40 million. The Beit Shemesh-based company has raised $14 million to date.With this acquisition, Intel is pursuing its efforts in perceptual computing and gesture recognition and 3D cameras to improve the user's experience.Intel Capital led Omek's $7 million third financing round 迷你倉價錢n July 2011 and other investors included Chestnut Street, ff Ventures and Equity Group.
