Kilmartin said the lenders have reported providing a total of $153.5 million in relief locally. This information is self-reported by the banks and will not be credited toward the settlement until monitor Joseph P. Smith confirms it. To date, only ResCap Parties (formerly 迷你倉MAC) has received credit. The other lenders are Bank of America, Citibank, Wells Fargo and JP Morgan Chase. The settlement was reached in February 2012 after an investigation by the attorneys general revealed that banks were foreclosing on properties and evicting people using false or incomplete documentation. The full report can be seen at the Office of Mortgage Settlement Oversight's website.Copyright: ___ (c)2013 The Providence Journal (Providence, R.I.)
