BRIEF: Police draw weapons at four found in vacant home

Source: The Star, Shelby, N.self storageC.Dec. 31--A routine check of a vacant home by police on Tuesday led to officers drawing their guns on four people they found inside.While checking on a vacant home on Wilmouth Street, an officer found four people inside, Shelby Police Chief Jeff Ledford said.A police officer drew his gun because weapons found in the home. Three other police officers assisted, Ledford said."The officer called for back-up while he cleared the house and got everyone outside," Ledford 迷你倉aid. "There were a couple of guns inside, but there wasn't any threat of them using them at the time."The four people were charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering, Ledford said."In cold weather, our officers familiarize what properties are abandoned or vacant," Ledford said.
