$5,000 reward for information about 'Hooded Bandit'
Source: Chicago TribuneDec.迷你倉 12--The FBI is offering a $5,000 for information about the "Hooded Bandit," who is believed to have hit at least four banks in the northwest suburbs.The nickname stems from the robber covering his head with a hood during a series of robberies that have occurred since February, said the FBI in a release this morning.The most recent stick up happened Monday at a Chase Bank branch located at 123 W. Main St. in Bensenville. The robber approached a teller window and demanded cash before fleeing on foot, said the FBI.The robber did not display a gun in the Monday robbery, but he was armed with a silver handgun during the first robbery that occurred Feb. 15 at a BMO Bank branch located at 130 W. Devon Ave. in Wood Dale, the FBI said.He is 文件倉elieved to have struck again on Nov. 15 at a Charter One Bank branch at 333 E. Irving Park Rd. and at another Charter One Bank branch in Rolling Meadows on two separate days, April 19 and Dec. 2, the FBI said.The "Hooded Bandit" is described as a white man between the ages of 50 and 60 weighing about 165 pounds. Witnesses have described him as having gray facial hair, said the FBI.Anyone with information about the robberies should contact the Chicago FBI office at 312-421-6700.
