Human bones found near Apple Valley
Source: Daily Press, Victorville, Calif.儲存Sept. 04--APPLE VALLEY -- Authorities said Wednesday morning they were investigating a scene where workers found buried human bones while they were digging a hole for a septic system.According to San Bernardino County Sheriff's officials, a call came in on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. about a report of bones found near the 27000 block of Waalew Road in a rural area on the outskirts of Apple Valley.When asked if foul play was suspected, sheriff's spokeswoman Jodi Miller said, "There are homicide teams out there. This is strictly a death investigation."Volunteers from the sheriff's search and rescue department were at the scene assisting Homicide Detail detectives and the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner in the investigation."We expect to be out there another day," Sheriff-Coroner spokeswoman Sandy Fatlan新蒲崗迷你倉 said.An end loader was used to dig a large hole approximately 20-by-20 feet, and workers brought out equipment to sift through the dirt Wednesday afternoon.A home was being constructed at the site. The bones were discovered when workers were digging at the property to begin putting in a septic system, Fatland said.According to the real estate website Redfin.com, the 57-acre property was purchased on February 8, 2013 for $220,000. The owner of the property is not listed.
